## Description

The U.S. Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Horiba of Piscataway, NJ to purchase a new Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) from Horiba to quantify geochemically essential elements in solutions, core material, and experimental samples for Energy and Minerals Resources Program-funded projects, including the Oil and Gas Waters Project within the Geology, Energy, and Minerals Science Center.

Replacement of the current Horiba Ultima Expert ICP-OES (2015 Model) with the same brand is required for data continuity and for internal Quality Management System requirements. Other equipment is calibrated differently which would skew the long-term data set. Horiba is the sole proprietor of the equipment described herein. Horiba retains exclusive ownership rights, and no other entity or individual holds any ownership interest in the aforementioned equipment.

In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency, however, THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Email responses to rlanderson@usgs.gov. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. The size standard in number of employees is 1,000. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed-price. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ to be awarded the contract.
