## Description

Notice of intent to issue a sole-source award to Altec Industries. Purpose of award is to repair an Altec D947 TR Derrick Digger with a hydraulic system. The San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP) uses the derrick digger daily for line construction. This derrick digger is used by all SCIP Line Crews to maintain and repair electric utility lines. SCIP will incur increasing lost labor expense the longer the derrick digger remains broken. SCIP's line construction vehicles are manufactured by Altec Industries (Altec).

The chassis are manufactured by either For or International. All other aerial lift components are proprietary to Altec. No other known vendors are factory-authorized to repair Altec brand derrick diggers. The diagnostics, testing, calibration, and repair are proprietary to Altec. Solicitation is not available and technical questions will not be answered.

The NAICS code for this acquisition is 811310 If a firm believes this agency should not pursue the proposed sole-source acquisition, it should submit a capability statement and pricing information for this requirement by 4/1/2023, 8:00 a.m. MDT. Agency point-of-contact is Randall Brown at (520) 723-6208 or email randall.brown@bia.gov. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $20,000.00. All responsibile sources may submit capability statements which shall be considered by the agency.
