## Description

This work item describes the requirements for the Contractor to inspect and clean the vessel’s underwater (U/W) body prior to sea trials, while the vessel is moored pier side. Affected surfaces or components include, but are not limited to the following:

Hull plating. Shafts. Transducers Propellers. Rudders. Sea chests and gratings. Miscellaneous appendages (examples: bilge keels, rope guards, and fairwaters).
