Sole Source Justification The manufacturer confirmed there are no authorized distributors of this power supply. All spares for fielded equipment in this program are required to be identical to the item which is currently in use in the field. It is not possible to substitute for this item as introducing a different power supply could adversely impact the performance of the visibility sensor and this would adversely impact system availability. This part must be identical to what is in use to be a valid replacement. Acceptance of any item other than the original equipment would require that testing be completely re-accomplished. This is not acceptable, as it would require significant funding and time to accomplish. For this reason, only the specified power supply is deemed acceptable at this time. Special Notice This is the only notice to be posted. This special notice is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can provide the needed power supply may submit substantiating documentation in writing within the open period of this notice.
