In accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) the requirement was under the simplified accquisition threshold and was determined to be in the best interest of the government to solicit from a single source. Timber Tech Engineering has unique experience in the Post Frame industry and members of their staff are lead authors and contributors of National Frame Building Association books that are utilized by other companies. They have proven to be an industry leader for nondiaphragm post frame designs. Timber Tech Engineering drafted the design guide for pole barn (post frame) buildings in New Hampshire that the addendum will incorporated into.
