## Description

Amendment 0001 - The purpose of this amendment is to attach the Questions and Answers and Site Visit Sign-In Sheet. This amendment also attaches an updated Schedule of Items, Attachment 5. Quote Due Date has not changed. The Tonto National Forest - Tonto Basin Ranger District - plans to repair leaks in its drinking water network. The main objective of the project is to eliminate the known leaks and reduce potential for future leaks.

At the end of the project, the contractor shall provide as-built drawings of the project to the Forest Service. Leaks were noticed on the secondary pipes that feed 1- or 2-inch recreation hydrants. The Forest Service plans to relocate the hydrants to the main lines, abandoning the leaking pipes in place. One known leak to be repaired may be under the asphalt of the campground loop.

After backfilling the trench, the contractor must place new asphalt over the cut portion and make necessary adjustments to return the loop to its original shape. The contractor shall install one priority valve and two pressure reduction valves at the locations indicated by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). These values are critical in reducing and addressing potential leaks in the future. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, and materials to accomplish the project.

The contractor is responsible for the supervision, incidentals, and services required to perform the work in strict accordance with the applicable codes and requirements and the contract document.
