This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). At this time, no solicitation exists; therefore, please do NOT request a copy of the solicitation, bid documents, specifications, or drawings. Responses or proposals are not required at this stage. The USDA Forest Service Procurement and Property Services, Field Procurement Operations, Southwest Zone, Contract Service Area 6, on behalf of Region 5, is currently preparing a solicitation RFP to replace a failed trail bridge. Project components include modifications and repairs to the existing abutments and design, fabrication, deliver, and installation of a new prefabricated steel truss trail bridge superstructure. The prefabricated bridge shall meet the requirements of the specifications incorporated by reference and supplied as well as the specifications established in the drawings. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, non-personal services, and all items necessary to perform the project work and associated contract requirements. All work must be performed in strict compliance with the terms, specifications, drawings, and provisions outlined in the contract. Project Location This project is located within the Lake Alpine Recreation Area, Alpine County, California. From Hathaway Pines, California, travel northeast 33.3 miles on Highway 4 to Lake Alpine Recreation Area. The trail bridge location is near the inlet to Lake Alpine, between the Chickaree Day Use Area and Pine Marten Campground. The latitude and longitude of the trail bridge is 38.481713, -119.991025.
