RFI: In reviewing the 12/10/24 GEO TECH report, please confirm that the recommendations to export offsite all excavated material for new foundations and to provide imported structural fill at the new foundations is required. Response: Yes, confirmed. Most of the material buried in the ground where the bore holes were drilled is extremely unstable due to on going decomposition. Removal of the excavated compostable material is required due to its instability and its ongoing break down. When Geo Tech filled in the bore holes, the holes they sampled, they sunk within a day or two, almost a foot on each hole. Structural fill will resolve the decomposition issues and make the new foundation stable.
