THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District, Texas intends to specify the below listed item as part of a renovation contract to be executed on Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB), Louisiana. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific item listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.” (NAICS 561621) - Prometheus Video Image Control and Display Systems (VICADS)- Provides Intrusion Detection System (IDS) services to the entire facility. This facility will be monitored at multiple locations where each location utilizes VICADS Windows System Configurations, and the new IDS system recorder and facility will need seamless integration without the use of interfaces. BAFB uses a VICADS VLAN backbone. This VICADS technology is currently used throughout the base. BTX Transmitters are manufactured by: Prometheus Security Group Global. THIS NOTICE IS A SPECIAL NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL.
