## Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The USDA/ARS intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), single source for purchase not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, to:

Wisconsin Crop Innovation Center 8520 University Green Middleton, WI 53562 Description of Requirement: The objective of this sole source award is to procure the following in accordance with the Statement of Work: Generate Malting Barley Lines The NAICS code for the expected acquisition is 541715 (Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences (except Nanotechnology and Biotechnology)), with a Size Standard of 1,000 Employees and the PSC Code is B529.

NO solicitation or solicitation package will be issued. The notice of this intent is not a request for competitive quotes: however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 5:00 PM Eastern Time June 24, 2024 will be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Joel Maas at joel.maas@usda.gov. The e-mail subject line shall state: Generate Malting Barley Lines-Notice of Intent to Sole Source.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based in responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED.
