## Description

This contract was awarded as a firm-fixed price contract under the urgent and compelling exception to full and open competition under FAR 5.202(a)(2). As a result of Hurricane Helene McDowell County in North Carolina sustained severe road damage requiring emergency repair and hazard clean up. These efforts are needed to allow for emergency vehicle access to private/public residences/facilties, prevention of damage to public and private property and protection and prevention of ecosystem and habitat damage in the Grandfather Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest.
