It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this RFI. 1) Tile: Smokejumper Protective Face Cage 2) Purpose: To evaluate technological advancements for Smokejumper personal protective equipment (PPE) and identify opportunities to improve upon the Smokejumper protective face mask.

The Smokejumper helmet with face mask is only worn during parachuting operations. It is not utilized for firefighting operations and does not need to meet any heat requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1977, Standard on Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Firefighting. NFPA 1977.
