## Description

SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project consists of the decommissioning, removal, and replacement of a pit toilet at Lone Mountain Tree Improvement Area located on the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District on the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. The objective of this contract is to improve health and safety standards and support increased employee activity at Lone Mountain TIA. The replacement of the existing pit toilet to a concrete vault toilet will also improve environmental safety by isolating human waste to a vault.

Lone Mountain TIA contains four genetic test plantations, three blister rust resistant white pine seed orchards, and blister rust inoculation beds. These are all actively maintained for the Region 1 Genetic Resource Program and support regional reforestation efforts. PROJECT LOCATION This project is in the Idaho Panhandle NF, Coeur D Alene Nursery , NUR Lone Mountain (See Maps attachment for details.

The service site is approximately 7 miles north of Rathdrum, Idaho on West Seasons Road off on State Highway 41. This administrative site is a part of the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. The site is fenced, and access is through a locked gate located immediately off the paved road. The terrain is flat with little to no elevation change. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT In accordance with FAR Part 23.204 (a) Less than $25,000.

SITE VISIT Per FAR Part 52.236-3 “Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work”, contractor is encouraged and expected to visit the site. No official Site Visit shall be performed. Contractors may to visit the site at their discretion. Ensure you are familiar with inclement weather as this may hinder access to certain roads.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE Work on the site shall commence approximately October 15, 2024, and proceed in accordance with the contractor’s approved work schedule, and run continuously till the end of the project no later than December 31, 2024. BONDING Bonding: In accordance with FAR Part 28.102-1, a Payment Bond or Irrevocable Letter of Credit (ILC) for 100% of the contract price are required for offers over $35,000 but not to exceed $150,000. Bonds shall be provided within 10 days of award.
