## Description

There is not a solicitation to the general public I do not anticipate any new BPAs being award and added to the current batch of BPAs. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The overall objectives of the project are:

It is the purpose of this solicitation to secure services for brush removal and roguing for fuels management objectives within high value genetic sites. The sites are being treated to facilitate future cone production and climber safety. Sites are identified on the ground by wooden posts, physical features or flagging. All sites shall include an additional buffer area outside the identified genetic site that will also require treatment.

Treatments for Item 0001 and option item 0002 shall include site brushing with mastication,. Mastication shall be the primary treatment tool where slope allows within the interior of each genetic site. Brush is considered part of the natural fuels loading and shall be cut as necessary to achieve a 12” fuel bed depth. Fuels management treatments will include buffer, pull back, and piling as necessary to meet down wood requirements of natural and created slash.

Treatments for option Item 0003 shall include site roguing with hand felling, and hand piling. Brush is considered part of the natural fuels loading and shall be cut as necessary to achieve a 12” fuel bed depth. Fuels management treatments will include buffer, pull back, and piling as necessary to meet down wood requirements of natural and created slash. All stumps shall be treated with a borate product (Cellu-treat®) within 24 hours of cutting. Piles shall be created in the buffer zone if reasonably possible.

**Work Location:** Fremont National Forest A BPA Call RFQ will be issued to all BPA holders on, or about April 3, 2024
