Everything that was in this building for the past 20 years needs to be moved into storage containers until they find a new place for firefighters and equipment; the Chelan and Entiat district buildings don't have room to house any extra equipment and people. The fire crew needs to purchase 6, 20-yard Connex containers to place at 25 Mile Fire Camp in Chelan WA. The termination of this building lease was not anticipated, therefore there is a quick turnaround for award. The storage containers were needed before 6/1/25. Due to the short timeframe, the award needs to be made as soon as possible so the containers can be delivered as soon as possible. We are aware the 6/1/25 deadline to have these containers on site is likely not possible so we extended it to 6/6/25. We are looking for the soonest possible delivery date.
