## Description

Questions and Answers Q1. In executing this project, can one superintendent fulfill the supervision, safety, and QAQC roles? A1. Yes Q2. Are contractors required to issue a contract specific QA/QC Plan? A2. Not required, but can be useful. Q3. Are contractors required to issue a contract specific Safety Plan? A3. You should have this. Q4. Is this project tax exempt? A4. We are the US government so that it is tax exempt. Q5. Is there any asbestos on the structure of the greenhouses? A5. There is no asbestos.

It was tested last year Q6.Is asbestos abatement required? A6. No asbestos abatement required Q7. Will all framing remain and only change from glass to polycarbonate? A7. All framing will remain in place. Yes just changing from glass to poly Q8.Current glass framing is on nominally 2ft centers. Are we to keep existing framing and cut polycarbonate to fit existing frame? A8. Yes existing framing will stay in place, poly must be cut to existing frame.

If contractors organization requires the contractor to install extra supports ect. please add into quote for submittal. Q9. Should the contractor remove framing to install 4ft wide polycarbonate panels? A9. No framework should need to be removed to use 4ft sheets. Q10. Confirm that no work to the doors of the greenhouse bays or the corridor doors is to be done? A10. No work is to be done to doors. They are staying as is. Q11.

Are any mechanical or electrical systems to be modified other than what is necessary to remove and replace wall coverings? A11. No systems removed or modified apart from whats necessary to install roof extrusions or wall coverings Q12. Will the government remove all items from greenhouses before construction? A12. Government technicians assigned to each bay will be responsible for moving their studies/ equipment from construction area.
