## Description

**Questions and Answers:**

**Q1:** Just have a question regarding the fence in the back, do they want to use metal fencing for the extension of 971 or do they want us to match what’s already back there? During the site visit, we discover the fence was not of metal material in the back.

**A1:** All fencing should be galvanized steel/metal to prevent rusting Q2: On the line of fence to match the existing fence. There scope of work and the materials used of existing fence are different. Do they want it to match the existing fence or do they want it to match the scope of work?

**A2:** I.A.W. SOW - All fencing should be galvanized steel/metal to prevent rusting Q3: What color fence would they like on the AFS board on board aluminum fence?

**A3:** Khaki or light tan - can be determined after award with available options.

**Q4:** On the double gate, Is it a swing gate or a slide gate? How wide is the gate opening?

**A4:** Swing Gate – approximately 10’ per gate for a total gate opening of 20’ Q5: The spec calls for 18-gauge panels and what is in place is 22-gauge. Please note the 18 gauge could be more than twice as much per panel. Do you want to keep the 18 gauge or switch to 22 gauge?

**A5:** The requirement is for 18 GA Q6: The spec calls for welded and powder coated poles and cross members. Powder coating cannot be performed in the field. When it is welded the powder coating will come off. Is it acceptable that the welded joints are field painted? Also please note that the poles and cross members are available in galvanized metal and may be a more suitable option for long term weather resistance A6: Field painting of welded joints is acceptable and galvanized metal is required.

**Q7:** Is there a preferred color for the powder coated fence posts and runners?

**A7:** Galvanized Rustoleum paint to match the color of the panels – see below.

**Q8:** Please clarify that you want the inside of the fence to be white and the outside looks to be a primer gray. Please clarify if this is the color choice. Inside panels will be white and the outside will be gray. See attached quote from O’Donnell regarding decking originally installed on A8: existing fence.

**Q9:** Is it acceptable to request a longer period of performance for the fencing? The solicitation states it is 60 days. It is possible that some of the material will take 6 weeks to receive.

**A9:** Yes, the performance period will be 120 days from the notice of award.

**Q10:** Is the existing security system installed along the entire intended fence line? Meaning the full 3'503 linear feet listed in the attached site plan. Or is the laser system limited to the existing fencing in blue?

**A10:** The existing laser system is only installed within the existing fencing. Additional laser system will have to be added into the additional fencing of this project. This is a solicitation for the procurement of the installation of Security and Privacy fencing. This project will be fully funded based on the availability of funds compared to the proposals received. Please review the attached Statement of Work and associated documents for your proposal.
