This project consists of the following major items of work on the Blanco Ranger District: Mobilization Soil erosion and pollution control work. Drainage excavation on pit access road. Controlled rock blasting may be required for production and oversize material. Produce and stockpile aggregate surface course gradation (FSSS 703-3 Table). The Government estimates a swell factor of 30% (in-place to crushed), and loss factors of approximately 5% in stockpiling and 20% in crushing. The quantities shown in the schedule of items do not include losses for stockpiling and crushing and are final accepted material quantities. Approximately 24,000 cubic yards of surface course gradation (FSSS 703-3) aggregate may be ordered. Material will be produced and stockpiled using crushing and screening methods. The quarry will be developed within the existing disturbance, and no new clearing or grubbing of vegetation is expected to take place for this work.
