This proposed contract action is published to notify potential sources that the USDA Forest Service, SE FORESTRY SCIENCES LABORATORY intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Penrose Environmental, LLC (10TD08).

The period of performance is from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026 This project aligns with the priorities of the Forest Service Southern Research Station (SRS) by providing data on the health of aquatic species in the Piedmont region following varies land management practices.

Benthic macroinvertebrate sampling offers insights into watershed dynamics that benefit both SRS and our partners by advancing knowledge and refining what we know about the effects of clear cutting and silvopasture on watershed hydrology and water quality. This mutual interest serves the broader goal of maintaining biodiversity, improving water quality, and promoting climate-resilient forests.
