The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Program seeks an environmental chamber to be placed in a secure insect containment facility at the Forest Pest Methods Laboratory on the Otis Joint Base Cape Cod, MA. We require an environmental chamber to conduct experiments that will allow us to identify potential biological control agents for the invasive insect pest, box tree moth (BTM). Tests being conducted will investigate rearing strategies, life cycles, and host specificity of parasitoid wasps. Percival will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) and FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The sole source determination is based on Percival is currently the proprietary manufacturer of the LT-41VL, low-Temperature Environmental Chamber Unit.
