The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS) intends to issue a sole source order to Johnson Controls, LLC, Kansas City, Missouri for Sandbox ADX and associated equipment to support the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) Automation System. Johnson Controls, Inc (JCI) is the sole manufacturer and distributor for the Metasys Building Automation System currently which is the primary building automation system at NBAF. This sole source procurement is under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 – only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The NAICS code is 334118 Computer Terminal and Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
