## Description

Amendment 0001 posted on 08/29/2024 The purpose of this amendment is to extend the RFQ period for 1134874 one Tissue Culture Chamber inclusive of shipping and handling, to Falcon Heights, MN. It will now close on 09/04/2024 at 12:00 PM (noon) EST. All other details in this combined synopsis/solicitation remain the same.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Plant Science Research Unit has a need for a customized plant tissue culture chamber with an ultrasonic humidifier, advanced lighting to reduce Petri dish lid condensation, and a stacked two-in-one construction to accommodate additional experiments while reducing the overall space footprint. The St. Paul, Minnesota location performs research to improve transformation efficiency of legumes, particularly soybean, and to study legume root architecture.

Advancement of these research priorities is expected to permit understanding and development of more robust, hardier legumes suited for agricultural purposes in a changing climate. In order to conduct these studies, delicate tissues of legumes must often be grown or regenerated via tissue culture in incubators with fine-tuned controls which provide optimal growth conditions for these delicate tissues.

A new tissue culture chamber with additional controls will improve our ability to successfully execute these studies. See attached Statement of Work - Tissue Culture Chamber with Q and A Combined S_S - Continuation Pages 1134874 Combined Synopsis Solicitation Requisition 113874 Tissue Culture Chamber The vendor shall submit quotes via email to julia.lackey@usda.gov and with a subject line of “Quote: 1232SA24Q0159”, for receipt no later than 08/29/2024 at 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
