## Description

This is not a solicitation. This synopsis notification of intent to award a BPA Call order does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this notification is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

The purpose of this requirement is to conduct botanical surveys to determine the presence or absence of target species, document and map locations and populations of target species, and provide an ecological description for the areas surveyed including any special habitats encountered. Botanical surveys for this contract will include target vascular and invasive botanical species.

See Attachment C-1 (Target Vascular TESP Botanical Species List 2021), Attachment C-2 (Target Oregon Biodiversity Information Center [ORBIC] Vascular Species List 2023), and Attachment D (Invasive Botanical Species List 2023) for complete species lists. Surveys for all vascular Target TESP and ORBIC species are required in all survey units. Invasive species surveys are required in all survey units and along roads bordering units and within ¼ mile of unit boundaries.

Surveys shall be conducted within proposed vegetation management units and along adjacent roads on the Walla Walla Ranger District, Umatilla National Forest, during the period from May 1, 2024 – September 30, 2026. All survey products shall be completed and submitted by September 30, 2026. Surveys and documentation shall follow established written protocols, as specified in Section 3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks.
