## Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) intends to solicit and negotiate a noncompetitive contract with DNASTAR, Inc. (UEI MM8CFNUNTBL7), a small business, using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The objective of this acquisition is to obtain a service contract for Lasergene site license software updates and support by DNASTAR, Inc. USDA contemplates a firm-fixed-price contract.

See attached specifications and Single Source Justification. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. However, all responsible sources may submit a response which shall be considered by the agency. Responses must include clear and convincing evidence of the offeror’s capability of fulfilling the requirements as specified. Responses must be submitted by email to Kathy Melby at kathleen.melby@usda.gov no later than June 6th, 2024. Telephonic inquiries will not be honored.

Responses received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
